Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! And thank you so much for these vlogs. They always brighten my day. :-)
I didn't get any fiction books this year. I only read books that my family have never heard of, and only in English, which seems to make it more of a hassle for them to buy the books. *shrugs* So I got a couple of books about quilting and scrapbooking (which is okay), but I really wanted Nightshade! Also, I am still waiting on one of my presents, some autographed books by Richelle Mead!!
I'm very interested in hearing what you think about the Hunger Games trilogy. I'm not obsessed like some of my friends, but I really loved how real the books felt. I hope it gets more widely read, and that it isn't tainted with the label of YA. I love YA, so I don't care, but some books really transcend any label, and it's a shame if they aren't recognized.
Downside 4 ftw!! I am so jealous of you!! That is definitely one of my most anticipated releases of 2011! (Though I suspect that your love for Terrible is a little bit different than mine, but what do I know? lol)
I stopped making New Year's resolutions a long time ago, because they never last, and you always start off the year with all these lofty goals that never get realized. Besides, I can make those promises anytime. It doesn't have to be the first day of the year. :-)
I did kind of make one resolution this year, and that is to read more. I've read more this year than I have in a long time, and I've loved it. And I've discovered so many amazing authors and books that I didn't know existed, genres that I didn't know about, that I'm really looking forward to the book year 2011!
I love your little comment about cereal. I tweeted you about how I'm one of the crazy people who actually keep watching you while you eat. lol
I loved the first Hunger Games! I'm excited about the next two, but I don't expect that I'll read them back to back. I've got tons of books on my TBR list for the year. I'm shooting for reading two a month. We'll see how I do!
